Calendar Description
This second semester course which is a continuation of Effects Animation 1 will use the paradigm of a studio environment and take it one step further by allowing the student to concentrate on a personal project and work with the instructor on a one on one basis. Pre-production on this project will have been completed in the first semester class "Visual FX & Pre-Production" allowing the student to put into practice advanced uses of the techniques and theories taught in Effects Animation 1.

Detailed Description
This second semester course which is a continuation of Effects Animation 1 will use the paradigm of a studio environment and take it one step further by allowing the student to concentrate on a personal project and work with the instructor on a one on one basis. Pre-production on this project will have been completed in the first semester class "Visual FX & Pre-Production" allowing the student to put into practice advanced uses of the techniques and theories taught in Effects Animation 1.

There is a high proportion of non-character based forms of animation used in film, broadcast and medical content and many different methods used to achieve them. The breadth of these types of animation can go from the main focal point in a shot to supporting/visually sweetening status.

Course Details:
Some details of this outline may change as a result of circumstances 
such as weather cancellations, College and student activities, and 
class timetabling.

Students will begin and complete their final project with individual 
one on one sessions with their instructor. Advanced uses of techniques 
and theories taught in Effects Animation 1 will be used in the 
production of this final project. 

Three assessments will be conducted on an individual basis at weeks 4, 
9 and 14 during this semester.


Academic Honesty
The principle of academic honesty requires that all work submitted for evaluation and course credit be the original, unassisted work of the student. Cheating or plagiarism including borrowing, copying, purchasing or collaborating on work, except for group projects arranged and approved by the faculty member, or otherwise submitting work that is not the student's own violates this principle and will not be tolerated. Instances of academic dishonesty, including assisting another student to cheat, will be penalized as detailed in the Student Handbook.

Students who have any questions regarding whether or not specific circumstances involve a breach of academic honesty are advised to discuss them with the faculty member prior to submitting the assignment in question.
