Land Acknowledgement

Section I Notes:
This course is offered in-class and online. This course is offered through Cisco Network Academy.
The in-class course, is the 3rd of 4 courses in the Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching curriculum. The course includes activities using Packet Tracer, hands-on lab work, and a wide array of assessment types and tools.
Students must achieve at least a 75%. The online course is Hosted by Centennial College and offered through Sheridan FCAPS. Students who register for the course through Sheridan will receive credit from Sheridan College only. Access to the course materials will be available through OntarioLearn.com.

Detailed Description
Scaling Networks covers the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in larger and more complex networks. Students learn how to configure routers and switches for advanced functionality. This is the third of four courses that will prepare you to take the Cisco® Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching certification.

To achieve the critical performance, students will have demonstrated the ability to:

  1. Explain, configure and troubleshoot enhanced switching technologies such as VLANs, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP), Per VLAN Spanning Tree Plus Protocol (PVST+), and EtherChannel
  2. Explain, configure, and troubleshoot first hop redundancy protocols (HSRP) in a switched network
  3. Describe, configure, and troubleshoot wireless routers and wireless clients
  4. Configure and troubleshoot routers in a complex routed IPv4 or IPv6 network using single-area OSPF, multiarea OSPF, and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
  5. Manage Cisco IOS® Software licensing and configuration files
