Detailed Description
Prepare to write the Project Management Institute's (PMI)® Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential examination with the PMI® Authorized PMP® Exam Prep. This course is developed by the Project Management Institute and delivered by experienced instructors that are PMP® certified and certified by PMI® to teach this course. This course is for people that have experience performing project manager functions and are seeking career advancement by learning successful project management practices. Students will meet the education requirements for applying for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification. Through this course students will gain insight into industry best practices and preparation steps for taking the PMP® exam. Please Note: A digital key for accessing Licensed PMP® Exam Prep Content will be sent to registered students prior to the course start date. The Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), 6th edition, is not part of the material package and must be purchased separately. No refunds will be issued after the start date. Withdrawal requests should be made 24 hours before the start date, for a refund of the tuition, less $50. A material fee of $144.31 for the Licensed PMP® Exam Prep Content is non-refundable once registered. Course Critical Performance and Learning Outcomes

  Critical Performance:
By the end of this course, students will have demonstrated the ability to apply acquired knowledge to challenge the PMP® exam to attain the PMI®'s Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential.
 
Learning Outcomes:

To achieve the critical performance, students will have demonstrated the ability to:

  1. Synthesize all aspects of Project Management as per the PMBOK® Guide and apply it to the PMP® exam.
  2. Apply all knowledge areas and processes of Project Management to the PMP® exam.
  3. Gain the essential preparation needed to pass the PMP® exam.
  4. Focus on relevant exam topics and thus increase the probability of passing the exam.
  5. Explain the logic and mapping of exam questions to PMI® resources for faster comprehension and a more effective performance.
  6. Build a personal study plan that addresses individual's strengths and weaknesses.
  7. Effectively apply the concept of process of elimination to assist in answering questions correctly.
  8. Conceptualize, discuss and assess relevant information for the PMP® exam.

Evaluation Notes and Academic Missed Work Procedure:
TEST AND ASSIGNMENT PROTOCOL The following protocol applies to every course offered by Continuing and Professional Studies. 1. Students are responsible for staying abreast of test dates and times, as well as due dates and any special instructions for submitting assignments and projects as supplied to the class by the instructor. 2. Students must write all tests at the specified date and time. Missed tests, in-class/online activities, assignments and presentations are awarded a mark of zero. The penalty for late submission of written assignments is a loss of 10% per day for up to five business days (excluding Sundays and statutory holidays), after which, a grade of zero is assigned. Business days include any day that the college is open for business, whether the student has scheduled classes that day or not. An extension or make-up opportunity may be approved by the instructor at his or her discretion.
