Section I Notes:
The in-class section is a Sheridan College course and the online/OntarioLearn section is a Loyalist College course that is offered through Sheridan's Continuing and Professional Studies. For the online section, access to the course materials will be through OntarioLearn.com. The ILCO sets a provincial examination based on the course curriculum. You must successfully complete this exam in order to earn your certification. It is 100% of your final mark. Examinations are available to all students province wide. Students wishing to sit in each course exam must complete and submit the exam registration form (found in the course materials and online at http://www.ilco.on.ca/) to ILCO, prior to the registration deadline. A passing grade is 60% and a pass with honours is 80% or higher. You must register with ILCO and pay an exam fee per course in order to write the Provincial Exam, set on pre-determined dates. Grade reports are issued by ILCO and students are advised that the grading process may take up to 90 days from the examination date. A Certificate of Academic Achievement will be issued to students upon the successful completion of the 4 provincial examinations from the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario.
