Land Acknowledgement

Sheridan College resides on land that has been, and still is, the traditional territory of several Indigenous nations, including the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We recognize this territory is covered by the Dish with One Spoon treaty and the Two Row Wampum treaty, which emphasize the importance of joint stewardship, peace, and respectful relationships.

As an institution of higher learning Sheridan embraces the critical role that education must play in facilitating real transformational change. We continue our collective efforts to recognize Canada's colonial history and to take steps to meaningful Truth and Reconciliation.

For the online section, access to the course materials will be through OntarioLearn.com. The ILCO sets a provincial examination based on the course curriculum. You must successfully complete this exam in order to earn your certification. It is 100% of your final mark. Examinations are available to all students province wide. Students wishing to sit in each course exam must complete and submit the exam registration form (found in the course materials and online at http://www.ilco.on.ca/) to ILCO, prior to the registration deadline. A passing grade is 60% and a pass with honours is 80% or higher. You must register with ILCO and pay an exam fee per course in order to write the Provincial Exam, set on pre-determined dates. Grade reports are issued by ILCO and students are advised that the grading process may take up to 90 days from the examination date. A Certificate of Academic Achievement will be issued to students upon the successful completion of the 4 provincial examinations from the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario.
