Land Acknowledgement

Detailed Description
Students learn the requirements for the test. They explore different strategies to demonstrate comprehension of spoken English. Through peer evaluation, controlled exercises, and group discussions, students prepare to take IELTS Academic Listening and Speaking Test Section.

Course Critical Performance and Learning Outcomes

  Critical Performance:
By the end of this course, students will have demonstrated the ability to utilize different strategies while listening / speaking to use in the IELTS Academic Listening and Speaking test sections.
 
Learning Outcomes:

To achieve the critical performance, students will have demonstrated the ability to:

  1. Identify the requirements of the IELTS Academic Listening and Speaking test sections.
  2. Employ a variety of strategies to demonstrate comprehension of spoken English.
  3. Communicate orally in the context of 4-5 minute responses to questions and short discussions.
  4. Apply test-taking strategies to the requirements of the IELTS Listening and Speaking test sections.
